There are three foundational principles we follow when helping climbers improve. The first is that gaining strength facilitates skill improvement, and when combined those things make more successful climbers. Second is that no two athletes are exactly the same, so no two athletes should train the same. Finally, consistency is easier when you're doing something you enjoy.
Climbing Movement
Throughout your entire climbing career you are building a "catalog" of movement through experience. We can help to guide and accelerate this process by teaching structured ways of diversifying movement patterns, and deconstructing otherwise complex movements into isolated skills that can be practiced with intention. This will not only help beginners, but also serves to provide any climber we train with a greater ability to apply their strength gains to climbing.
Strength and Conditioning
In order to execute movement, and open up more options for beta, you need to be strong enough to get into those positions and to move between holds. A well executed S&C program builds a well rounded athlete. This is the foundation of not only performance but also longevity in our sport. S&C training is a performance booster, mobility trainer, injury preventer, and even a rehabilitation tool when applied correctly.
Data and Science
We use the most up to date tools to measure various metrics such as maximum strength, velocity, and rate of force development. This allows us to very effectively track progress, adjust training stimulus as necessary based on data, and carefully manage your workload session to session and over an entire training cycle. We are constantly striving to learn more so that we can deliver the most effective methods of for climbing improvement.
